A little bit about me…
Born and raised in Oak Lawn, a large suburb south of Chicago.
I started my college career at Moraine Valley Community College in
Palos Hills, Transferred to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston (for a
year), then decided to head back to Chicagoland, and finished my BA in Education
with a minor in Art at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights.
In addition, I have endorsements in Art Studio, Language Arts, and Social Science.
Three years ago I got married and my husband and
I bought a 2 flat here in Irving Park. Together we renovated our new, old house
into a beautiful home, which we share with our two cute dogs! I began working
for the Archdioceses over at St. Benedict (part time.) Then last year I was
happy to start working here at St. Viator (full time) as a PreK4 teacher! This
will be my 8th year as an Early Childhood educator! I absolutely love what I do; it is my vocation!
In my free time I love watching HDTV, doing arts and crafts, browsing Pinterest,
cooking, going on walks, and photography.
It is through my education and life experience
that I am able to identify the needs of individual students and inspire them to
become “lifelong learners”! In my classroom we work hard, but have fun at the
same time. I integrate the fine arts into many of our activities and encourage
my students to be creative!
